Valentine’s Theme Dinner & Dance:

Rockin’ and Rollin’ in the “Fifties”

LADIES! Get out your poodle skirts and saddle oxfords! GENTLEMEN! Grease back your hair, and find your straight legged Levi’s!  We are going to rock the night away here at the Fountain City Art Center on

Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Our live band will be Broadway Sound’s “Broadway Swing,” including Lynn Clapp, Margaret Seagraves, Wayne Goforth, Linda Wise, and some of the other five members, depending on who is available that evening. Dressing up in the 1950’s style is highly encouraged; dining, dancing, and having a great time are “mandatory.”

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available now at $30 per person at the Fountain City Art Center. Call (865)357-2787 or email fcartcenter@knology.net if you have questions. Seating is limited to 68 people due to the need for dancing space.  Dinner will be reflective of the 50’s soda shop/ diner era with pulled pork on buns, cole slaw, baked beans, cokes in glass bottles, and a wide variety of tempting desserts. Holland Rowe will be making dance photos in a “soda shop” setting at $10 a sheet for those who want keep sakes! All proceeds benefit programs at the Fountain City Art Center, a 501( c )3 nonprofit  organization.
